本文对多数据库系统中模式集成、全局查询的分解和优化以及全局事务的处理等问题进行了详细而深入的论述，给出了一对一实体冲突的消解算法和查询处理优化算法，并对这些算法进行了分析；同时还论述了事务原子性的保证策略和全局死锁的处理算法。最后，本文在借鉴国内外经验的基础上，把通用对象请求代理结构技术与多数据库系统结合起来，提出了一个新的多数据库系统模型，在该模型中引入了安全管理机制。
